Your donation will have a direct, profound effect on our understanding of tropical animals and ecosystems. Since our organization has little overhead, your contribution goes almost entirely to the field and to getting our data analyzed and communicated to the world. We use the funds we raise for equipment, salaries, and travel; all indispensable components of tropical research. Reptile Research is a US 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and your donation is 100% tax-deductible.

    We are actively seeking funding from public and private sources. Here are some examples of what your donation can do:

• $10: A pack mule to get to our remote study sites.

• $30: One day's room and board during our expedition.

• $100: Fair salary for services of an Ecuadorian naturalist for 2 days.

• $1000: A photo and graphics workstation.

Some of our current larger funding goals that you can help us with are:

• We are enthusiastic about having Academy Award nominated filmmaker David McGowan on board to produce a feature-length documentary of our work. We need $20,000 to finance this project.
• For most of our projects, our staff usually does not receive any salary for the hard work they do. For 2008, our goal is to raise up to $50,000 for salaries for our full and part-time naturalists, educators, and executive director.
